Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston
(OCB) was founded in 1969 with the primary goal of providing patients with eye
care, laser and surgical treatment of the highest quality. In addition to eye
examinations, our ophthalmologists provide care in the following specialties:
cataract, glaucoma, cornea, diseases of the retina, orbital plastics, pediatrics,
LASIK refractive surgery and eye trauma.
OCB ophthalmic surgeons are pioneering researchers in the field
of laser vision correction. OCB is one of the largest and most experienced providers
of laser vision correction in Massachusetts.
Our staff of over 30 ophthalmologists and optometrists cares
for over 120,000 patients each year with all categories of eye disorders and
visual system diseases. This level of care has helped Ophthalmic Consultants

care practices in Boston, Waltham, Sandwich, and West Yarmouth and Laser Surgery
Centers in Boston, Waltham and Sandwich, Massachusetts.
Dr. Shingleton joined Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston in 1983.
Dr. Shingleton's expertise is in laser and surgical treatment of cataract, glaucoma
and refractive problems. He enjoys lecturing at regional, national and international
meetings and publishes articles in scientific journals on a regular basis.
