He is a noted authority in cataract surgery and has served as president on the board of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is supported by a superb team of optometrists, fellows-in-ophthalmology, board certified anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, nurses, and ophthalmic and surgical technicians. They support Dr. Shingleton in the evaluation and care of each patient, but Dr. Shingleton performs all the surgeries.
